Double whammy

That's when you find 2 kids in the very full Dog Water Bowl. You pull one away and the other gets deeper in the bowl, you go back for the 2nd and the 1st is back. You don't think to pull the water bowl away because there are 2 people coming at you from both sides.
Do you play defense or offense?

Greta may be drinking out of the toilet bowls soon, if she can figure out how to open the door and shut it behind her. They are quick!

still here

Life has been a bit crazy here. Good but crazy. More to come on that...

Charlie is home sick today. Started with a fever last night, throwing up, etc. Typical signs of strep but after being at the Dr. today, the test came back negative. So hopefully it will just clear up soon, whatever the case may be...

Field Day of the Past

Charlie went with his Grandma K and Paw to Field Day of the Past out in Manakin on Sunday. This was seemingly a perfect day for a boy of any age! Animals (Goats, pigs, ponies) and Machines (trucks, tractors and old cars)! Oh, if only Uncle Earl could come too!

Trip to the River

We took a long weekend to go the river - left Richmond after preschool on Friday and went to Williamsburg, hit an outlet or 2 and then crossed the river on the Ferry. This was Charlie's 1st trip on a ferry and he thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was a really nice weather weekend, and we also had our friends Dave & Judy with their 3 boys join us. So it was chaos at times, but a chaos we are used too!

NOVA for VT Game

We made a quick trip up to visit our friends, Jen & Chris, Jackson & Samantha for the VT Game on Sat. It was a great weekend visiting and Jon wanted to attend a car show in Manassas on Sunday, so good timing as well.

Jon & Charlie are becoming VW buffs it seems and enjoyed walking around seeing the other cars.

You can see, we are fanatics and it was fun to be fanatics together. For those that aren't fanatics, I suppose it's hard to explain, but football season is a time where you can come together with lots of other people that share the same love as you do, and experience highs and lows together. I love the fall, the colors changing and the experience of tailgating and the anticipation of a great game.

the End of Summer

Ahh, it is so hard to believe, the end of summer is just about here. The weather has been great, and it's nice to work from your basement when you can have the screen door open.

It has been great to have Charlie home for the last 3 weeks with the boys. They have been all over the place, Children's Musuem, Zoo, Water Park, Maymont... etc. Everyone has had such fun, we are going to keep Charlie out of childcare, but he's going to go to preschool (9:00-12:00 5 days).
We had his open house yesterday and he has 2 great teachers for this school year which starts Tuesday.
