Well Jon and I really saw Matt & Will feed off each other last night. We were trying to get them to bed and 1 would cry and then the other would start. Matt seemed traumatized that someone would have the nerve to wake him up from his slumber... his type A brother didn't seem to care!
Maybe it was a growth spurt? who knows. Having crying babies at 10:00pm, 1:00am and 5:45am makes you confused.
We are tired here today. Tired from not getting sleep and tired from not know when to expect a good night's sleep.
I think this is what I get from saying Sat. I'd had the best nights sleep in 6 months (maybe more considering how much I got up when pregnant).
All in all though we had a great weekend. Charlie and I went to Easter Egg Hunt on Sat. Although it was inside, who can complain when you walk away with M&M's? Not Charlie...
He is recovering from his burn and ear infection, and he took 2 wonderful naps Sat. & Sun. :o)

bounce back
Rough week for some. Charlie had splinters in each hand Monday, burned his hand Tuesday and came home with an ear infection Wednesday. We're hoping it was a 3 for 3 week and that he is off the hook for today :o)
Getting ready to go to Charlie's school for a Yoga Social. Interesting!

Will & Matt at the Beach 3/20
we had a great trip to the beach this past weekend. Thankfully, there was lots of sunshine this past weekend, although it was still a bit brisk. Regardless, a change of scenery is always welcome.
We made the trip a week early b/c our house rented this coming weekend. Luckily we are doing well with rentals this year (knock knock on wood). In a downturned economy, guess it's best to have the smaller house with the smaller price tag to attract renters. So we did fun stuff like cleaning out closets, painting trim, etc. Oh the things we do for fun!
Ken & Linda also made the trip which was nice - we were able to get out here and there to take Charlie to the beach w/o dragging the poor babies into the freezing wind.
Charlie on sugar
this is Charlie after our fun day with the Worrell's, no nap and sugar!

big boys
The babies had their 4 month appt today. Matt weighed in at 15lb 9 oz and Will weighed 16lb 3 oz, both are 25 inches. It is hard to believe how big they are getting. They have more than doubled and almost tripled their weight. It's an unbelievable process going from an infant to an adult, isn't it?
Dr Barto was pleased with both of their progress especially considering they were premies and thinks they are doing just great.

Where's the sun!!!
Despite the weather, we had a great weekend with friends and family. Our friends, Kristen & Kenyon and their little boy Nick visited on Sat. It was so nice to be able to catch up. We hadn't see each other in so long and it definitely made Jon and I little homesick for Raleigh. We spent the day eating and watching sports - what else when with the Worrells :o)
Minus a little head banging, Charlie & Nick got along great too (see picture of the hug goodbye).
Sunday, we were with the NC Kolkhorsts - again, eating and playing :o) It had been quite a while since our last visit as well. Charlie and Noah loved playing on the big foam blocks and racing cars.
Meanwhile, the babies are doing great. They have their 4 month appt. tomorrow. Matt has started talking more and I've decided a real flirt. He just gives you a sly look whenever you smile at him. Will is rather comical and after talking to you and listening to you talk back, just flashes a laughy smile.
All in all, we felt like it was a whirlwind and we never left the house.

Triangle MS Walk: April 25th 2009
For those of you that didn't know (and I didn't track down by email), my college roommate Debbie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis last year at the age of 32. After having her 3rd baby, Isa, she started feeling numbness in her feet and extreme fatigue (who knew it wasn't being a mom of 3) and was later diagnosed with MS.It is really amazing to me how positive she has been. This whole past year, she has just said, let me know what the challenge is - so I can be ready to fight it! She has had an extremely positive outlook and been getting in the best shape ever.
On April 25th, I'll be walking in the MS Walk to honor Debbie, but really this outlook on how to live with a chronic illness... it is so amazing to me. Afterall, it could be me or you. If you'd like to see my website, please click the link below.

From the beach to snow
Ahh, it's been something!
We headed to the beach early on Friday and boy, were we glad. The weather was beautiful on Friday and we enjoyed a few minutes on the beach before the weather turned rainy and cold (all day Sat. and Sun.). It didn't stop the fun, but it sure wasn't pretty. It was nice to get together with our friends (the Kisner's) and also to get a few chores accomplished.
We were happy to get back into Richmond just as it was really starting to snow. It was beautiful - probably had 6-8 inches? But unfortunately the wind and heavy snow took out our power at about 9:30 Sunday night. We stayed at the house, but packed up Monday morning when it still wasn't on. Packing up for a snow day took an entire green duffel bag for extra clothes all around, diapers, formula, etc! We enjoyed the day at Linda & Ken's and Jon was excited to take Charlie sledding where he grew up sledding. All full circle experience for him.
Yeah to Dominion Power, the power came back on last night about 6:30!
